At the beginning of July, we gathered for two exciting days at our office in Hamburg. It was great to bring the entire team together in one place to reflect, develop strategies, and simply spend time together.
In January, we were almost double the size from the previous year with 15 employees, and we have now grown to 21 employees. Although "New Work" plays a central role in our everyday work and virtual meetings have become the norm, it was particularly nice to see how well we function as a team and how we have grown together.
Our evening get-together was particularly valuable, where we cooked together at Olivia’s Cooking School in Hamburg. This experience once again highlighted how important collaboration, communication, and creativity are in our daily professional life at New Chapter Executive Search.
Just like in cooking, our search assignments begin with a plan, but flexibility is essential. Ingredients and approaches can change, and we must adapt. Some parallels are:
- Project Leadership: Under the direction of Maria Nieves Garcia Pajin, the head of Olivia’s Cooking School, each of us had clear tasks and understood how we fit into the bigger picture.
- Diverse skills: Our employees were able to use their individual talents at different cooking stations. Similarly, at New Chapter, we rely on the diverse talents of our team for optimal results.
- Timing and communication: Precise timing and constant communication are key to success, whether in cooking or managing a search assignment.
- Continuous improvement: Regular meetings ensure good collaboration and continuous improvements—a central component of our company culture.
It's often said, "Too many cooks spoil the broth." However, our experience showed that with the right approach and the right chefs, a masterpiece can be created.
With fresh momentum and new ideas, we are ready to tackle upcoming challenges together. We look forward to the exciting projects that the next few months have in store for us—along with you!
